Calm Spa is the spa of JA The Resort, the large beach, golf and marina resort at Jebel Ali, about halfway between Dubai Marina and Abu Dhabi. The spa has a relaxed, resort pace, and its published price list is comprehensive, with massages, hammams, scrubs, wraps and ELEMIS facials.

The massage menu offers Siamese, Balinese, stress release and relaxing massages in 60- or 90-minute sessions, plus deep tissue and hot stone, a 75-minute Peaceful Pregnancy Massage and a 90-minute personalised massage. The JA Signature Massage is a 90-minute treatment, and longer rituals include JA Renewal, the two-hour Rejuvenating Experience and the three-hour JA Signature Ritual. Thirty-minute options cover back, scalp, head and shoulder and foot massage, as well as reflexology and a short hot stone session. Hammam fans can choose a 60-minute Traditional Moroccan Hammam or the 90-minute Royal Signature Hammam, and scrubs and wraps are available separately. Facials are by ELEMIS. Facilities include a sauna, steam room and pool, and a 60-minute spa facilities pass can be bought on its own. The resort covers a wide area with several hotels, beach, golf course and marina, so allow time to reach the spa on arrival. Calm Spa is open daily from 10am to 9pm.
