Desertology Spa is the spa at Telal Resort in Remah, in the desert outside Al Ain. The resort is also home to the Zaman Lawal heritage village, Desert Gate and Khattar restaurants, and pool villas. Telal Resort describes Desertology as a holistic spa with a range of services for both men and women, focused on different massage styles. The menu centres on signature massages. Aromatherapy and Swedish massages are available in 60 or 90 minutes. Thai massage uses pressure on energy lines and assisted stretching, and a combination massage integrates Swedish and Thai techniques. There is also a 60-minute Shiatsu massage, a 90-minute hot stone massage, reflexology on the feet, hands and ears, a foot massage in 30 or 60 minutes, and a 30-minute back, neck and shoulder massage. In-room or in-villa massages can be arranged for a supplement of AED 200 per person. The spa is open daily from 09:00 to 22:00. Advance reservations are required in person or by phone, and in-house guests get booking priority. Appointments can be cancelled up to two hours beforehand. Desertology's services are for adults only, and all menu prices include applicable taxes. The spa menu also advertises 15% off when two consecutive massages are booked, though this cannot be combined with other offers. The resort's other facilities include an outdoor pool, a sunken pool and a gym.
