SENSASIA Urban Spa at The Village mall on Jumeirah Beach Road was the first branch of SENSASIA, which describes itself as the UAE's largest independent spa group. The Jumeirah 1 spa set the tone for the brand: calm, Asian-inspired and focused on doing massage properly, with every visit starting with a consultation and a foot cleansing ritual and finishing with signature ginger tea.

The Build Your Massage concept is at the heart of the menu. Guests choose a style to match their aim, whether easing pain, relieving pregnancy discomfort or simple indulgence, and add enhancements such as a warm massage candle or muscle-relief products. Signature massages include a 90-minute deep hot stone massage, a warm candle melt massage, the Knead-It massage for deeply therapeutic work, an oil-free Thai yoga stretch in custom Thai pyjamas, the Balin-Ease massage and lymphatic drainage. A recovery massage uses heated herbal poultices for athletes. Longer rituals include Mummy Massage & More for mothers-to-be, The Essential Spa Ritual, Bee My Honey, The Urban Repair, The Luxe Coco Ritual, Smooth & Stone'd and Smoothed in Oud, plus a three-hour Blissfully Unaware. Facials include Face Gym and LED therapy. The spa is open daily from 10am to 10pm, with online booking and WhatsApp chat.
