The spa at Kingfisher Retreat serves one of the Sharjah Collection's nature resorts, owned by Shurooq, on Sharjah's east coast at Al Qurm in Kalba near the Oman border. The retreat sits on a secluded island next to the Kalba mangroves, the oldest mangrove forest in the UAE, and guests reach it by private boat or buggy from the arrival point. It opened in December 2017 and, after its latest expansion in 2022, has 40 tented rooms, each with its own private pool.

The spa is set in tents, with separate tents for women and men, and offers massages and facials as well as spa and wellness packages. A gym is also on site. The spa is designed as a quiet complement to the retreat's nature programme rather than a large wellness centre, so a spa session sits alongside mangrove walks, kayaking and paddleboarding in the cooler months, cycling, and visits to the Khor Kalba Mangrove Centre. There, guests can see birds including the rare Arabian collared kingfisher that gives the resort its name.
