AWAY Spa is the spa at W Abu Dhabi – Yas Island, the hotel built over the Yas Marina Circuit with its distinctive lit-up canopy. The spa was reimagined in recent years and has marina views, separate male and female areas, and private hammam facilities.

The massage menu uses W's own naming: Performance targets deeper muscle layers, De-Stress uses moderate pressure and tension-releasing techniques, Reset is a slow, light-pressure massage designed to promote better sleep, and Detox uses energising techniques with a rich oil blend. Quick fixes include a back, neck and shoulder massage and reflexology. Hammams come in four versions: Royal, with steam, a walnut and ginger chai exfoliation, a wrap and a 60-minute massage; Harmony, with black soap, spiced mud wrap and a 30-minute massage; a seaweed Detox hammam; and a short Awakening hammam with a mint sugar scrub.

Facials use Comfort Zone and Voya products, and body treatments include wraps, scrubs and a sun-prep treatment called Hit the Deck. Add-ons such as volcanic hot stones, herbal poultices and LED light can be included with a massage. The spa is open daily from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM, and the FIT gym is open 24 hours.
