AWAKEN Spa is on the lobby level of the West Tower at Atlantis, The Palm, the giant resort at the tip of Palm Jumeirah. Its approach blends classic spa therapy with energy work: sessions are accompanied by healing sounds and frequencies, and the spa says its therapists are Reiki-certified. Facilities include a sauna, an aromatherapy steam room, a vitality pool, a cold plunge and a plant-powered relaxation lounge.

The massage list is short and focused. The signature AWAKEN massage blends aromatherapy and Reiki; Mindful Movement, Massages of the World, Muscle Recovery and Deep Muscle massage cover different pressure and goals; and there is a maternity massage and a teen spa massage for younger guests. Signature journeys run from a two-hour facial-and-massage combination to a pink clay wrap ritual and a full wellness day with spa and fitness access, massage, facial, lunch at The Edge and pool or beach time. Couples can book a three-hour VIP Spa Suite journey with a bath, scrub, massage and facial, or a chakra-balancing ritual with sound healing. Facials are a strength, using Dr. Burgener, 111SKIN, Biologique Recherche and HydraFacial, with gold and caviar, collagen, vitamin C and cryo treatments. Day passes give access to the facilities on weekdays and weekends. Rescheduling or cancelling needs at least four hours' notice. Hours are 9am to 9pm daily.
